Ciao, Quarter 1

One of the reasons that I really wanted to join the Special Math Class is because it offers ICT as a subject and not TLE. I definitely was not a fan of lessons about cooking, planting, and other home economic stuff. I was more into things that are related to science, mostly technology. I am also planning to take Computer Science when I go to college. That is why, I consider ICT as one of the subjects I should excel in.

When I read the first module of ICT that was given to us, I was not expecting to learn about creating our very own blogs. It really made me more interested. I got to learn things about web browsers, the Internet, and other various information that would really come in handy when I go to college. ICT was one of the subjects that I truly enjoyed answering, unlike the other subjects that I just answered for the sake of compliance.

Along the way, I have encountered numerous challenges including slow internet connection, lack of time management, and family problems. October was definitely one of the worst months I’ve had in my life. I struggled mentally, emotionally, and physically, causing myself to not have enough time to do my modules as great as before. I was in a very dark place that month, but gladly, it’s over. I can once again focus on my academics without any major hindrances.

I can say that I did handle these challenges quite well. Despite suffering from continuous mental breakdowns, I still did well in my modules. In terms of slow internet connection, I often just download our learning activity sheets, which does not take a minute or two. And after that, I would just answer it offline so I won’t need fast internet connections. In the meantime, I can say that I still suffer from lack of time management, and I am definitely not proud of it. I still procrastinate every time but still manages to get the job done. However, I know that I should not practice such behavior, thus, that will be my goal for Quarter 2. I will try my best to overcome procrastination.

Moving on, I am extremely looking forward for the lessons and topics that I will learn for Quarter 2. I hope that I will continue to feed my brain with juicy knowledge that I will receive from our upcoming modules. And finally, I wish that I will overcome the challenges that I have had for the 1st Quarter that I was unable to fix.
